Check Back In Regularly For Weekly Finishes And Updates........ Thanks to Everyone involved in getting my car done for the first race of the 2007 season and boy did it pay off in a big way. We took the Figure 8 Feature win at 5 Mile Point on March 31st. A lot of long nights and hard work but the car worked great. Now its off to the paint shop and lettering guy to make it look as sweet as it runs.
As the 2006 season nears we are working on new plans for the Andrus Motorsports team and This year as we are gearing up to race at 2 local tracks and some special series races we would like to take the opportunity to thank our sponsors for making it possible. Season 1 2005 Aug 20th} Finished 2nd in our first time out in a figure 8 car After leading until the last lap. Sep 10th} Took the first win in our career at 5 mile point speedway in the Figure 8 class. Sep 31st} Finished 2nd in the figure 8 class in the final race of the season Season 2 2006 May 20th} Mother nature gets the win. Rescheduled for May 24th. May 24th} We took the sweep Heat win and The 99.1 the WAAL Figure 8 Feature. June 3rd} Mother nature wins again race not rescheduled. June 17th} Had a decent run going the entire night was very rough. We were called for rough riding and a disputed race after finishing second to Steve Simpson we were put back 2 spots for a 4th place finish. July 1st} Mother nature wins again major flooding in all surrounding areas. Rescheduled for July 8th July 8th} We took the sweep again in 2006 in the 99.1 WAAL Figure 8 Heat and Feature. July-AUG} We had a few bad races blown motor and hit the wall head on. Retired the rest of the season and worked on other plans. Thanks for everyones help and sorry for the disappointing season end. I would like to thank Rob Lee for all the help in the pits, Also would like to give a special thanks to my wife and my dad for getting the car finished at short notice. Thanks for all the fans that came out to support this great event. See you at the next figure 8 race on june 3rd. Season 3 2007 March 31st} We took the first win of the season in the 99.1 WAAL Figure 8 Feature. Brought out the brand new car. In the next 4 weeks until May 5th we will be getting the car finished the rest of the way and have fresh paint and lettering covering our car. Hope to see you all out there. May 5th} We took another feature win in the Lightning cat held over feature race 2nd in a row for the 2007 season. And took 2nd in the regular scheduled event. May 12th} We took our 3rd in a row win 2nd in a row in the figure 8 race. Had a very hard run in the Lightning cats race and ended in a dispute on the track after leading at the last lap last corner and being taken out. @ week susp for pit crew fight. See everyone in 2 weeks on june 2nd. June 2nd} Lots of rain came from a late tire change from last to first but pushed out in the last lap to get our first official lose finished 4th. June 16th} Wrecked bad into the inside wall in the heat bent front clip and massive susp damage. Finished 4th again after leading 2 laps suffering a flat with a wadded up race car not to bad. July 7th} Finished a hard faught 2nd in the figure 8 division. Working on a new car as first car is bent bad and is hard to handle. July 28th} A few more laps of bad luck car suffered a flat early and finished the race early in 4th again. Aug 11th} Car ran hot and more bad luck taken around twice finished 5th. Aug 25th} Flat tire takes us to another top 5 finished 4th on championship night finished 3rd in points. Sep 6th} New car Finally brake our losing streak of bad luck Took the cancelled figure 8 race and ran the cars backwards. Took the lead in the last corner for the win. Nothing better but a present for my dad on his 59th birthday. A great succes from the team in 2007 as our season winds down. We hope for a couple more wins to finish out the year. |

HOT OFF THE PRESS FOR 2006 MARK ANDRUS HAS DECIDED TO CHANGE HIS NUMBER AND RACE THE #16 FOR THE START OF THE 2006 SEASON. IT HAS BEEN A LONG AND HARD DECISION. BUT MARK WILL RACE THE NUMBER 16 AFTER HIS COUSIN JOE CLAPPER WHO PASSED AWAY FROM AN AUTO ACCIDENT NEARLY 10 YEARS AGO. MARK SAID IT WAS TIME FOR A CHANGE AND BRING BACK THE NUMBER 16 IN THIS VERY IMPORTANT COME BACK SEASON IN THE DIRT PURE STOCK CLASS WHICH JOE CLAPPER PASSED AWAY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE 96 SEASON. AS THE 2006 SEASON WILL MARK A 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO HIS DEATH. AS WE WILL ALWAYS KEEP JOE IN OUR HEARTS AND DISPLAY HIS NUMBER FOR THE 2006 SEASON. THANKS FOR EVERYONE IN THE FAMILY FOR HELPING US WITH OUR DECISION.
